It's Beginning to Look a lot like Thanksgiving?
Halloween is over, and it well and truly looks like Fall now. It’s been rainy here the past few days, and the leaves are actually very vibrant colors. It’s beautiful. And now we’re full on into the Christmas season. Hallmark is playing their movies continuously; Christmas commercials are showing on nearly every station. I’ve only seen a couple of Thanksgiving commercials, which makes me sad as I really love Thanksgiving. I’m never in charge of the meal—we always go to my grandma’s—but there’s something about this time of year. It’s peaceful. It’s not the melee that Black Friday brings or the days in December when it’s hard to even find a parking space at a store. It’s the calm before the storm. Don’t get me wrong. I love sitting in a room illuminated by a Christmas tree, watching cheesy holiday movies, but I don’t like the mad rush for trying to find gifts or trying to make it to everything in a jammed packed schedule.
